Oops…Today is Wednesday, Isn’t It?

Trying to adjust to a new schedule, however temporary, is not something I’m good at.  Most days, unless I look at my computer calendar, I couldn’t tell you if it was Monday or Friday.  And I often have to ask my daughter if there’s anything I watch on any given night.  This is mostly due to the fact that a television season can mean many things these days…and include frequent breaks.

But I got a little off the subject here.  My schedule, for the next week or two, is going to be crazier than usual.  Normally I’m in bed by four a.m., but because someone I know is having car trouble…and the mechanic who works on it is really backed up…I’ll be taking them to work and picking them up.  Which means my new bedtime is six a.m.

That wouldn’t be a problem, except I happen to be a creature of habit.  I’m used to getting up somewhere between ten and noon.  At the rate it’s going I imagine that about the time I adjust to this schedule, the car will be fixed and my taxi service will no longer be needed.

So I’m not feeling very creative tonight and am just going to share another favorite video.

On the ROW80 front…I’ve gotten one more chapter done.  That’s it. Hopefully by Sunday I’ll have the rest finished and ready for beta readers.  Oh, and I did remember to post the link.

  1. I woke up this morning certain it was Tuesday. Good luck with the schedule change.

    • Thanks, Pat! And I guess it’s just one of those days. Got the van loaded with stuff for the recycling center, drove all the way into to town to drop it off…only to find it closed. Because they’re only open on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Somewhere in this brain of mine I KNOW it’s Wednesday…I posted the blog, after all…but it FEELS like Tuesday.

      I need a vacation…

  2. Good luck with your crazy schedule and here’s to getting your goals checked off.
    LOVED the video – OMG!

    • Thanks, Natalie! Think I’m going to need all the luck in the world. Between the screwy schedule, and weather that thinks it’s April, my poor brain doesn’t know what to think. Been getting a lot of ‘spring cleaning’ done today though.

Isn’t Jeanne Robertson hilarious?! She does one about a trip she and her husband were on. It involved a layover in Canada (I think) and a suggestion from someone at the airport…that they should go to the bridge for bungee jumping. That one is a riot, too! 🙂

  3. Wow, you can sleep until noon? I marvel at people who sleep in well… I suppose this isn’t the best time to mention that! LOL You know what? I have a feeling your schedule shift is going to run smooth as French silk pie. (Which sounds really yummy right now…)

  4. LOL…no, August. I don’t go to bed until sometime between 4 and 5 a.m. So waking up between 11-12 isn’t really sleeping in. I tend to average between 6 and 7 hours of sleep every 24 hours. I wish I could go 8 or 9 hours sometimes, but that happens once in a blue moon. 🙂

Dang right that pie sounds yummy. I’m feeling in need of a chocolate fix right now, too. 🙂

    • OH! *points at blonde locks* 😉 Good for you for getting whatever sleep you can, when you’re able to. I wake early regardless of what time I go to bed, which is not a good thing. I’ve had to learn to turn in early each night. Tough compromise, but makes a world of difference.

I hope your car and sleep routine are soon exactly how you like them!

  5. From someone who used to do the 3rd shift, I can so relate to how an early morning (or even a late one) can just throw you out of whack for days. Hope you have a chance to get things smoothed out soon. Before the car gets fixed…. And don’t worry. The recycling center will be open on Saturday too. (Do you live by me? Those are our days too. 😉 )

  6. Are you in Michigan, Eden? 🙂

Thanks…I’ll figure out the schedule thing someday soon. It’s been out of whack for more than three years now so it’s past time to do something about it. I really miss mornings sometimes.

And you’re definitely right on the recycling center. I intend to be a regular visitor there, and at the Hospice store, for awhile. Time to get rid of some of the clutter again. Now if I could just hire a professional organizer to get it done for me. 🙂
